Glacier National Park Photo Workshop 2013

Glacier Workshop 2013 – Images by Jason Savage
Just returned from a most fantastic workshop I was teaching in Glacier this last week. We had a small, great, enthusiastic group and covered a lot of ground this year. Our group also lucked out and had probably one of the best sunrises I’ve had in Many Glacier adding to some spectacular colors and clouds. We also nearly ran into a grizzly on our hike to Red Rock Falls, which to say the least got everyone a little excited, especially me since I was in the front!

I would say a fantastic workshop overall and I even got to sneak in a piece of strawberry pie at the Park Cafe, so yes life is good.

Just an update on photos viewed on my Smugmug page. The shot of the meadow with flowers and mountains in the background that you helped me blend is out pacing my other photos 4 to 1. Way cool, thanks

It’s great to find an expert who can explain things so well

Oh my God, you’ve done it again. Perfect. Hilarious. These recaps add so much to my viewing pleasure. I think Gran’s Leftover Pie of Love and Woe was a butterscotch or very light chocolate cream pie. The thing I loved best about this episode (among many, many other things, including that over-the-top love scene ending) was that I finally recognized the actress who plays Hoyt’s mama – she 1000played Lady June Bell in one of my favorite Designing Women episodes, “Hell’s Belles.” Heh! Winda sparkler!

I was kidding with you; you could never offend me Kent It makes total sense – I just never thought of using a lens hood to basically do the same thing, duh! And you are right about the sales people. It sure made sense at the time that I would want to protect that nice lens. I guess it’s just a bad habit that started long ago. Down with the UV filters!

    · Hi Mark,The water balloon pinata seems to be the most popular idea of a DIY activity. The Slip and Slide seems to be the most popular item you can buy. I need to do both!
