Montana, Seeley-Swan Valley
October 20-22, 2017
One of my absolute favorite locations in Montana to photograph during the fall. The Seeley-Swan valley has an amazing array of lakes located throughout the valley along with spectacular fall colors, including the tamaracks which are at their peak this time of year turning their brilliant golden hues. This is another one of our affordable weekend workshops for photographers either on a time or budget constraint and offers one-on-one instruction over the weekend. This workshop is open to all levels of photographers. This workshop runs Friday evening through Sunday afternoon. Seeley Lake is located about an hour’s drive from Missoula, Montana.
Friday, Oct. 21
Arrive and meet in Seeley Lake at the Seeley Lake Motor Lodge for orientation.
Sat-Sun, Oct. 22-23
We will meet early each morning of the workshop in order to travel to our sunrise destination and spend the morning photographing at various locations. In the afternoon we will gather for an instructional session at the hotel before heading out for our late afternoon and evening shoot. The workshop will end on Sunday afternoon.
During each afternoon session, we will cover a variety of topics. We will begin with image critiquing and discuss professional techniques for composition, lighting, and exposure. Next, we will cover editing and workflow management with Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, taking you through the entire process from capture to print.
