I have just been admiring some of your shots and this adds to my disappointment, I don’t think I will ever learn. I am a grandfather getting close to 70, and I am trying to learn photography. I have a Canon T5i with kit lenses, that I learned, “After Buying”, was not a wise choice. But, I am enjoying getting out
and also attempting to use the AV mode setting. I find it is far to easy, to go back to auto, when things don’t turn out right. It is a shame, that you don’t
offer any workshops in the Springfield or Eugene area. Remember, how you felt when you first started, and you will know how I feel. Thanks, for all of
the great photos. Regards, Bill Glass
Hi Bill,
Thanks for commenting and I can indeed relate to the feelings of frustration with learning the technical side of photography. Don’t give up just yet! Keep persisting. It will get easier, I promise. You may consider a class or local workshop in your area. Also photography clubs can be a great benefit. I find working with other photographers teaches me a lot and also spurs a lot of creativity. Happy shooting out there and I’ll be sure to let you know if I have any future workshops in your area. Thanks and take care!
