Missouri River

June 14, 2008 by Jason Savage Leave a Comment

Missouri River near Crimson Bluffs

Snuck down to the Crimson Bluffs area last night for Sunset and was amazed at the green that is along the Missouri River right now…

Things are looking good and it was a great night to be out. We’ve had horrible weather the last couple weeks and it looks as though it is through. Nothing but sunshine and warmer weather in the forecast.

The Crimson Bluffs area is where Lewis & Clark passed through in 1805 on their way along the Missouri and they named it for the colored rock along it’s banks.

It’s a rich area full of wildlife and desert plants and just a few minutes down the road from Townsend on the opposite side of the river.

With things now looking up for our weather, it’s going to be a great time to get out and start exploring.
