Thought I would get out a quick post to report on the wildflowers that are starting to pop up across the state…
Looks like we’re going to have a good season across Montana this year and with all this rain we are getting it’s going to look awesome. I snuck out briefly yesterday to take a quick hike back in the south hills near Helena and we already have a good array of wildflowers coming up. Some Shooting Stars,Yellowbells,Arrowleaf Balsamroots and a few others.
I’m not a big flower guy, but this year I am surprisingly inspired to do some more macro photography and spend some time checking out Montana’s great collection of flowers.
However I may have to wait until this rain stops. We have been getting pounded and expect to pick up 4″ or more this week. Which for around these parts is a lot. But as you will always hear from just about everyone, ” We can definitely use it!”
I agree, especially if it helps insure no Wildfires this year.
I hope to have some more posts soon and will be traveling up to the Rocky Mountain Front next week to see what’s happening there.
Till then will be enjoying the rain…
