PT Lens

Here’s a cool program for anyone looking to correct barrel distortion with their lenses…

Tom Niemann from Epaperpress has created an awesome program that is designed to correct Barrel Distortion, Chromatic Aberration, Fisheye, Vignetting and gives you options on correcting vertical and horizontal perspectives.

PT Lens comes as a plug-in for Photoshop and is quick and simple to install. The only downside right now is it’s only available for PC’s.

The real kicker is Tom is only charging $15 for a license to use this program. When you compare this to other programs out there in the range of $200, you may be a little skeptical of whether this program is legit or worth downloading.

I would say that you should pay the $15 and give it a try. If you’ve ever monkeyed around with Photoshop’s Lens Correction filter, you may have found it somewhat limiting.

I find the results and interface much more to my preference with PT Lens, plus it’s only $15!

Can’t pass up a deal like that, besides if you have a fisheye lens, it really opens up some interesting possibilities.

A+.
