Rocky Mountain Front Workshop

Thought I would post some pics from last week’s Rocky Mountain Front workshop located up near Augusta and Choteau Montana. I was sweating it a little before the workshop  because we had just been getting dumped on with rain, but the weather must have took some pity and we had sun and blue skies for the whole weekend! Really unbelievable weather.

Everything was extremely green and there were also plenty of flowers appearing all across the foothills. It was a great workshop and I hope to hold it again next year especially after discovering some hidden gems along the way this time. Thanks to my students for their ambition and for making it such a great time.

Recently I have started experimenting with some multi-row panoramic images and will hopefully(if I ever have time!) post a brief tutorial shortly about how to accomplish this cool technique. It’s certainly opened up some new doors as far as image composition and resolution goes.

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer and getting out in that sunshine!

The Pine Butte Swamp Reserve picture is absolutely breath taking. It may be my new favorite!

I spent a few years in Choteau..as a child. My mom used to take us to Eureka Res. to swim. She also harvested a bunch of those flat rocks and made a patio out back. We left after the horrible flood of 1964. Do you have any photos of Farmington, MT?

The photos are absolutely fabulous Jason. We used to camp in Glacier. Miss those times.
