I had a bunch of fun yesterday testing out Fujifilm’s XF100-400mm in western Montana with howling winds, blowing snow and very photogenic Bison. What more could you really ask for? Perfect conditions for testing out a lens’s image stabilization and handling. The Fujifilm XF 100-400 really impressed. Trying to grab focus on an animal’s eye with falling snow is a real challenge, but the XPro2 and 100-400 worked very, very well and produced tack sharp images. The image stabilization was definitely on par with my old Canon 100-400mm and overall I was surprised at how comfortable it was to shoot. I’ll be posting a full review soon of this lens and also my thoughts on switching over from Canon to Fuji.
Selling all my Canon gear!!!
Well the time has come, after many restless nights going back and forth, I’ve finally made the decision to make the leap and sell off all of my Canon gear. EEEK! Not an easy decision to make after spending nearly 20 years with Canon and having their system become such an integral part of my work. However change is inevitable and I felt like now was as good as time as any. Recently I’ve been working with Fuji’s X System and have decided to incorporate both the X System and their new medium format GFX system into my workflow. So below is what I have left for sale, if you have any questions or want to snag anything on this list before it’s gone, message me on facebook or shoot me an email jason@jasonsavagephoto.com

Fuji X-Pro2
Here’s a shot from my first outing with Fuji’s rangefinder style mirrorless camera, the X-Pro2. I’m super excited to try out this new system and will be posting a review after I finish putting it through its paces. Being a longtime Canon shooter, I keep dipping my toes in the mirrorless waters to see if I can finally be lured into lightening my load. We’ll soon see.
First impressions, very good so far…
Fuji X-Pro1
As you’ve probably heard there’s been an awful lot of excitement over the last couple weeks with all of the CES announcements. Apparently mirrorless camera systems continue to generate a ton of buzz and this seems to be one of the fastest growing divisions within the camera industry at the moment.
I’ll have to say I hadn’t really been following a lot of these developments until recently and have been pretty surprised how quickly things are moving within this market.
Rarely do I get this excited about something especially within this area of cameras, but Fuji’s announcement of it’s new X-Pro1 this last week has made me sit up and pay attention….
