I’ve just returned from an amazing trip on my Glacier National Park workshop! With such a great group of photographers and stunning landscapes it was sure hard to beat. I’ll be getting some editing done in the next couple days and will share more from the trip. Here’s one from a rare calm morning on Swiftcurrent Lake, located in Many Glacier.
Ken Burns National Parks Film
Here’s a bit of a throwback I found as I was going through my archives yesterday. This was an amazing morning we had on Swiftcurrent Lake while I was working with Ken Burns on his National Parks film in Glacier National Park. It was a real privilege to be involved with such an important project and film about our National Parks and also to work with such an incredibly talented group of people.

Just returned from a most fantastic workshop I was teaching in Glacier this last week. We had a small, great, enthusiastic group and covered a lot of ground this year. Our group also lucked out and had probably one of the best sunrises I’ve had in Many Glacier adding to some spectacular colors and clouds. We also nearly ran into a grizzly on our hike to Red Rock Falls, which to say the least got everyone a little excited, especially me since I was in the front!
I would say a fantastic workshop overall and I even got to sneak in a piece of strawberry pie at the Park Cafe, so yes life is good.
