I spent this last weekend tromping around Three Forks at their annual rodeo held every July in town. It had been a few years since I’d been out and I decided to spend Friday and Saturday capturing just one of many great Montana rodeos. I really enjoy how each town’s rodeo has it’s own unique feel to it and it’s always a blast to get to hang out with folks who know how to have a good time.

Both days were great with some good rides and lots of action. Saturday was a little brutal with temps in the mid 90’s and not a lot of shade. I will be covering a few more before the summer is over, so there will be some more pics coming. In the meantime I will be out on the road and working quite a bit these next couple weeks, so I thought I would give you a bunch of shots from this rodeo and will have a new post up as soon as I can get to it.

wow, you got so many interesting angles! You must have been really active on this shoot. Was the guy in “Saddle Bronc” okay? A really wild community rodeo used to be the one in Fort Peck, might check that one out if you dare. We went to it once, in the early ’70’s, before Amanda was born. 🙂
I love your pics. They capture the beauty of the West. Bravo
